SCILT have uploaded profiles of people who have found languages useful in their work. You can read about successful people in different industries and see why they consider that learning a language is really important.

Our latest profile comes from Vanessa Winghei Yeung, who works as a steward at Glasgow Cathedral with Historic Environment Scotland. She tells us her language skills have always been useful, no matter where she's worked and have given her the opportunity to fulfil various roles, including international relations in Rome, rare book trading and community outreach in Hong Kong.

This, and our other job profiles, provide teachers with a useful resource to inspire pupils to study languages and highlight how doing so may benefit their future career.
