National anthem

As a French overseas territory the official anthem for Polynésie Française is the French national anthem 'La Marsellaise'.

However, a local anthem entitled 'Ia Ora 'O Tahiti Nui', which means 'Long Live Tahiti Nui', was adopted in 1993 and is played during the annual Internal Autonomy Festival on June 29 and every time French Polynesia participates in an international conference.
