When asking people about colours use the following phrases.

C'est de quelle couleur? = What colour is this?

devine les couleurs = guess the colours

Masculine and feminine forms of colours have different sounds. For example: rouge = red already has an 'e' so does not change. Marron = brown does not change. Blanc (m) = white gets a special ending that changes the pronunciation, blanche (f) = white.

bleue = blue

grise = grey

jaune = yellow

marron = brown

orange = orange

rose = pink

rouge = red

verte = green

violette = purple

Colours (masculine form)

blanc = white

bleu = blue

gris = grey

jaune = yellow

marron = brown

noir = black

orange = orange

rose = pink

rouge = red

vert = green

violet = purple
