Introduction to Chinese - PowerPoint2

Author: SCILT
Date of Publication: March 2014

Below is a PowerPoint which explores some simple characters such as mountain, water, river, continent, door, morning, afternoon, evening, red, green, big, small, leaf and lollipop. These can be used as simple greetings, labels (eg door) or words which link to the Hungry Caterpillar (eg moon, leaf, lollipop). The purpose of ‘lollipop’ is that it is a fun and memorable word to say, ‘bàng bang táng’. It is not a word to learn to write at this stage. This PowerPoint could be used to introduce Chinese in the early years.
