Over the past fifteen years, the Internet has become a major medium for the production and consumption of Chinese-language literary texts across a wide variety of genres. This lecture looks at the phenomenon of `Internet literature` (wangluo wenxue) in China, focusing on how it has brought about innovations in aeshetic practice and how it has challenged the state-driven publishing regime.
This free lecture will be given by Professor Michel Hockx from SOAS, University of London.
