Mon Premier Blog - Au Revoir l'Écosse

Salut Buckie High School!

I am désolée for not being able to come and visit you before I leave for France but I hope you will be able to get to know me a little through these blog posts. I thought I would start by telling you a little about myself. My name is Caitlin Morrow and I am vingt-ans. I study le français and l'espanol at Stirling University. I love sport, particularly triathlon and I also love chanter.

I am getting to ready to leave for France where I will work in deux schools as an English Language Assistant. I am going to be living in a petite ville called Bazeilles. It is in the académie de Reims and is très proche to the Belgian border. I am going to be working in 2 different schools: Lycée de Bazeilles and Collège Racourt. I leave on samedi and I will be taking trois trains: from Édimbourg to Londres, then from London to Paris and finally Paris to Reims.

For now, I need to start packing. I have a list of things that I have already packed for you to try and work out:

  • Mon passeport
  • Mes vêtements
  • Mes chaussures
  • Mon sac
  • Ma brosse à cheveux
  • Mon téléphone

Can you think of anything that I have forgotten? If you were going away for a year like me, what would be the thing you wouldn’t survive without (apart from essentials like passports etc)

I am really looking forward to going but I am a little inquiète about it. I have never been away for such a long time and I am sure that I will miss ma famille and mes amis. If you have any questions for me please leave them in the comments and I will do my best to answer them as soon as I can. I will be back in touch when I have arrived in France.

À bientôt
