Dos meses en España

¡Hola a todos! Sorry it has been a while since I last wrote to you but I have been busy so we have a lot  to catch up on! So far, I am loving my time here in Jaén.

I have now been here for seven weeks, I can’t believe how quickly the time is going! He estado trabajando en el colegio for six weeks and most of the children enjoy speaking english with me. I am teaching muchos temas diferentes including physics, physical education and music so it has been quite challenging pero lo estoy disfrutando.

So far I have traveled to Granada and Córdoba. We took the bus to both places and spent the day exploring the famous sights. Have any of you been? In Granada we visited the Alhambra and the Cathedral and then we walked around all of the spice markets!

Era una ciudad muy bonita y me encantaría volver algún día. In Córdoba we visited the Cathedral and the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos which was really beautiful! I will include some pictures for you to have a look at.

In between traveling, I have not forgotten about the challenges you set for me! Someone suggested going to a Feria and luckily the Feria de San Lucas in Jaén was at the beginning of October.

I really enjoyed it! We walked around all of the funfair rides y disfrutamos de la cocina tradicional española. I would definitely recommend you to visit a Feria if you ever get the chance!

On Sunday 12th November, I volunteered at a dog adoption day, which was really fun and something a bit different! In Spain they do not have organisations or funding to look after the animals so my friends and I are going to volunteer each month and try to raise some money to help them. Aquí hay una foto de mi perro, Firulais, he was so cute!

On the 6th - 10th of December my friends and I are going on a trip to the Sahara desert in Morocco. Creo que será una experiencia increíble, so I will be sure to write again soon after that and let you know how I get on.

I hope you are all doing well and I look forward to answering any questions you have for me!

¡Hasta pronto!
