Are you a primary school teacher or a high school modern languages teacher? Do you have an interest in developing Mandarin in your school? Would you like to travel to China this summer?

Following the success of the 2014 teacher immersion course in Beijing, CISS is offering this exciting opportunity to teachers again in 2015.

Based at the Beijing Language and Culture University, you will spend 2 weeks learning about Chinese language and culture. There will be a strong focus on language; however, the course also includes cultural lessons, for example, tai chi, calligraphy, Chinese tea-making and paper cutting. There will also be a range of cultural excursions to the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace, to name but a few. See our Pinterest board featuring previous trips.

Upon completion of the course, participants are awarded a certificate.

All in-country costs are covered. Participants must pay their own travel and visa costs at the approximate price of £1000. Places are offered on a first-come first-served basis.
